With a record of 28-11 and a handful of ties, the Sioux men's hockey team logged another tremendously successful season. Certainly it hurts to come this close again without earning another national championship, but let's face it, there always are some good teams waiting for one in the Frozen Four. Boston College has been waiting patiently and finally won out. Now, maybe it's our turn next year. Someone once said something about good things coming to those who merely patiently wait.

Although probably never being able to watch TJ Oshie (The most electrifying man in sports entertainment today) in sioux green and white again, losing out to BC for the 3rd consecutive season, and the graduation of our fearless leader Rylan Kaip are among the terrible consequences of the 2007-08 season coming to an end, the worst thing of the end of this year as well as every other is that it will be 6 months or so before I get to watch the greatest show on earth again!!!......What do I do with my friday and saturday nights until October?
P.S. I think it is worth mentioning that in #9 THE HALL OF FAME GAME, TJ Oshie was kickd out for checking from behind early in the first period. Of course this was shortly after he netted his first goal of the year.

Unfortunately, that was the worst performance I've ever seen from UND at a Frozen Four. York was gracious afterward, but the game was not an anomoly. Hard work & high-energy beat down a team with equal talent, and goaltending was a factor.

You might think, after the last few years, that UND would come out with a killer instinct and take it to BC. Instead, they looked surprisingly flat. Why the team didn't show up with its "A" game is a mystery.

Dave, thanks for the great siouxsports inaugural article/blog season. Although only viewed on occassion, (with no reflection of siouxsports.com, its afilliates, and representatives, und hockey, or yourself), but a lack of internet access, I thoroughly enjoyed the articles, and particularly the video clips. And in response to an earlier article as to why Lamoureux did not make the hat trick hobey baker finalists, very funny. Thanks for your enthusiasm, creativity and humor. You are a tremendous asset to siouxsports.com. Cheers. Lig

I find it ironic that we win the fist game of the season 6-0 and lose it 6-1, almost ironic.

Patronize the base much? ;p

I personally feel JPL could have replaced Jones (who's hockey has devolved into classless-ness (how's that for a mouthfull)), but your "analysis" is a bit glib eh?
